It started with a simple frustration: customers kept getting sold parts nobody had actually checked. An engine that "should run fine." A transmission with no history. A part number that was close enough, until it wasn't. [FOUNDER_NAME] and [FOUNDER_NAME] figured there had to be a better way — so in 1998, they started doing it themselves. Pull the part. Test it properly. Tell the customer exactly what they're getting, good or bad.
That's still the whole job, nearly three decades later. We've grown, but we haven't changed the part that mattered: someone who actually knows engines answers the phone, and nothing ships until it's been checked.
